Art Nouveau

I've started my third quarter at the Art Institute of Vancouver and am enrolled in a class entitled The History of Design 

Our second project of the class is an Art Nouveau inspired advertisement and I've chosen to combine the cover of a modern day Vogue issue with an Art Nouveau styled magazine. This is the cover in i's roughest form but I'm liking the direction it's going so far. Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas!

I had the task of putting together an ad for my photoshop class this week for a well known brand. I chose to do Alexander Wang one of my favorite designer. I used two images from the 2013 lookbook and created this monochromatic color scheme which seems to keep the brand image intact.

Last Night I had the privilege once more to shoot the Cotte D'Armes Fashion Show. The event was a great success as hundreds of people gathered at Montauk Sofa in Gastown, Vancouver to see the Spring/Summer 2013 denim collection. Models walked a long runway between hundreds of guests showing off the newest designs. The entire evening was magical. Once again I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to work with such talented and gracious people. Ann and Clarence put on an amazing show with the help of Empress Communications and Bond. The location was perfect as was the atmosphere amongst the guests awaiting the show.

The 2013 LNA Spring/Summer Collection is practically orgasmic. 

As I sat in class scrolling through the new collection I feel as though I may have thoroughly embarrassed myself with my rather suggestive facial expressions. I can say I would love to own each and every one of the pieces in this collection. If only I could afford them! For now I will just gawk at the many beautiful outfits on my computer screen while cropping my head onto them. Can you imagine pairing these outfits with either the black leather acne booties from my last post or the black Rachel Comey ankle boots?! I am getting too excited and need to stop looking talking about this before I successfully convince myself to drain my bank account.
