Randy P. Martin

Randy P. Martin

Randy P. Marting and Kanako Saski are two of many photographers that have been featured on Aritzia shopping bags. The latest bags featuring Randy P. Martin are really beautiful and I'm debating if I want to use a few of them in my new condo. The very first photo by Kanako and the final photo from Randy are two that I am debating framing. Above my bed I plan to frame a photo of the mountains that I took in Field BC. I will post the image in another post.

Cy Twombly: Fifty Years Of Work On Paper

Cy Twombly: Years Of Work On Paper just moved to the top of my "I would really like to own this" list. Now I feel bad about this but I have always been one of those people who judges a book by its cover. Fortunately for Years Of Work On Paper the cover has caught my interest. It is a stunning looking book on the outside and inside. The artwork splashed throughout the pages is incredibly inspiring and just what I need to help me through my education in graphic design set to commence this October.

IPHONE BACKGROUND

I came across this fantastic image this morning on pintrest and fell in love with it. I think it's safe to say this will be become a permanent fixture as my iphone background for many weeks to come.

ART OR FASHION

How stunning are these painted Kimonos by Paris Kain, of Abraxas Rex. They are like the ultimate oversized silk scarf draping over you like a dress. I can't decide if I want to buy one to wear or to frame above my couch.

chamilion

Cecilia Paredes' collection of photographs focus on her quest to belong and blend into her surroundings. She demonstrates this by blending into her backgrounds. The photographs are inspiring and beautiful.

archive

When working in Fashion it is so important to build an archive of books and images that inspire you. This is my current collection, missing a few pieces that I have also accumulated. Carine Roitfield's Irreverent is next on my "to purchase" list. They are so inspiring. Harper's Bazaar's Greatest Hits is also fantastic

vintage black swan

I loved the movie black swan that came out last year with Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel. Thinkning I might frame one of the posters above. Most likely the first one.

honestly wtf

The photographs above were taken by artist Alberto Sevesto. He captured these fascinating images by taking high-speed photos of ink mixing with water.
