Randy P. Martin
Randy P. Martin
Randy P. Marting and Kanako Saski are two of many photographers that have been featured on Aritzia shopping bags. The latest bags featuring Randy P. Martin are really beautiful and I'm debating if I want to use a few of them in my new condo. The very first photo by Kanako and the final photo from Randy are two that I am debating framing. Above my bed I plan to frame a photo of the mountains that I took in Field BC. I will post the image in another post.

SPACE 33
I have some very exciting news! This week the renovations on my condo will officially be complete. Here are few snapshots I've taken to give you an idea what it looks like. The most exciting news however is that a photographer is coming in to take some pictures of the space. I can't believe it! I'll be sure to post the photos and add the link to the site where it's being featured as well as take some photos of my own once it's finished. I am really proud as this is the first space I've ever decorated on my own. I've always been really involved in the process of decorating the homes my family has built throughout the years and have always debated if I should have gone into interior design. After this challenge it is so nice to see a reward for all of the hard work myself and my family have put into the space. It's been a long and busy process but I'm looking forward to sharing the finished product with you. I'll also let you know where we purchased everything. I've really had so much fun decorating!

BATHROOM DECOR
This bathroom is simply gorgeous. It is minimalistic and far from cluttered which isn't always the case in a bathroom. We all have so many cosmetics, brushes, hair products...etc. taking up the counter space that the bathroom ends up looking like a garbage dump. While decorating my condo has been a daunting task we have managed to keep the decor very minimal. I want my home to be a calming oasis that allows me to de-stress and relax after a long day of school or work. So far my bathroom will only have a hand soap pump from Anthropologie and perhaps a jewelry box from Chapters. There are two that I like there, one is marble and 50% off which makes it a little more tempting where as the other is a wooden base with a white and black patterned top. It's a lot more attractive than it sounds. I love the bathroom above. The facets are very minimal and almost look like the piping that is running behind the wall has just been extended. I've seen a few bathrooms and kitchens popping up with this design and I am a huge fan. When it comes to my bathroom however I am most interested in the two plants in the left corner of the vanity. I love the charming simplicity they bring to the space.

Heidi Merrick
Heidi Merrick for Glitter Guide's home is absolutely stunning and chalk full of great decorating ideas. I love the large green leaves in the beautiful vase and dark pink flowers in the living room. They really add a great pop of colour to the room. The best part about this home is that colour has been brought into the space through accent pieces. The home remains timeless with the use of a neutral colour palette and accent pieces that can be replaced as trends come and go can be easily replaced from season to season.

CONDO DECOR
CONDO DECOR
It's official in just a few weeks I'll be living it up in my new condo in Vancouver and I am extremely excited to start decorating. After we officially take possession of the condo on May 29th we have a little renovating to do but after that it's time to decorate! I've been on the phone non-stop with my parents discussing different ideas and have been searching the web for inspiring pictures. So far our favourite ideas consist of a large cream sectional with colourful decorative pillows to dress it up a little bit (like the image from the free people HQ), I love the idea of having either a white kitchen table with dark chairs or a dark kitchen table with white chairs. The bedroom is going to be inspired by the image above. I am currently searching for a faux fur throw similar to the one above to pair with a white duvet and some small wooden stool like nightstands. For my desk which will most likely be a built in after renovation I was thinking I would do a basic chair and toss a faux fur rug over the back like the image above (they are even sold at ikea. SCORE!) .

Chic Du Chic
While scouring the internet for the best shops along water street I came across an interview featuring the owner of Oak + Fort which eventually led me to the blog Chic du Chic. The photos above are great inspiration for decorating my new place. I love the makeshift closet! I feel like I could somehow replicate this collage of paintings as well. Maybe for above my bed??? We'll see

ETSY
Get creative and add some unconventional pieces to your condo. Why not use a snowboard, wooden cinderblocks, a tree trunk or just a long piece of wood as a coffee table? I am crazy about the industrial coffee table featured in the first image. There is something about it that reminds me of the amazing decor you usually find in an Anthropologie store.

HOUSE HUNTING
Let's just say if my budget were a little different (that being 20 million +) this penthouse located in the Fairmont Pacific Rim would be on the top of my list. A guess you could say this is a room with a view.
